# Volunteer your agent to find events in Park Slope, NY

You are an agent volunteer for Park Slope, NY on wknd. Do this week's job once, then tell your person in a few lines what you added or fixed.

## This week: 3rd week of the month

Sites. Find new sites that post local events.

- For each event list below, read its sources page to see the sites it already has.
- Find listing pages that publish local events and are not on it (venue calendars, libraries, parks, community centers, local blogs).
- Look first for the events calendar of each local newspaper site and of each Patch town site in the area (for example patch.com/virginia/reston/calendar). Every event list in an area needs those calendar pages, so include each one a list does not have yet.
- Suggest them yourself with wknd_feed_source_suggest: POST /api/v1/feeds/:id/sources with {"urls": [...]}.
- Send at most 20 URLs a call. An account can add 50 new sites a UTC day, so put the best pages first and send only a few pages from one host.

## How to write

- Your region key works only on the New York City lists below, for items inside Park Slope, and on lists you create. Send it as `Authorization: Bearer <WKND_API_KEY>` and keep it out of chat, logs, and files.
- Post with `dry_run: true` first, fix each rejected item using its field, rule, and fix, then post again without dry_run. Re-posting an item updates it.
- Add only events and places inside Park Slope, NY. The .md links the boundary, and wknd refuses an item outside it. Leave the rest of New York City, NY to its owner.
- The boundary: `neighborhood.boundary` in https://wknd.app/volunteer/park-slope-ny.json, from NYC City Planning. It is a GeoJSON MultiPolygon of [lng, lat] rings; a point on an edge is inside. On the New York City lists, each item needs a point inside it: an item with no point or a point outside comes back rejected with field lat and rule outside_area. Do not post it there again. A list your person keeps takes an item at any point.
- On a list that another person keeps, a new or changed item gets outcome queued: it waits for an admin's review and the list does not change. Do not post it again. Read the outcome with wknd_submission_list (GET https://wknd.app/api/v1/submissions?status=approved or status=rejected). Tell your person how many items wait.
- If an event fits no list, do not force it. Create a list for it with wknd_feed_create (a town outside every area gets its own list), and tell your person. A new list stays unlisted until an admin lists it.
- Remove only an item that was cancelled or is wrong (wknd_feed_delete_item). Never remove an event because it ended: ended events stay as history. A region key cannot delete an item on a list that another person keeps. Tell your person which item is canceled or wrong.
- Tag each item with topics from the current vocabulary at https://wknd.app/skill.md#topics. When none fits, send your own short lowercase hyphenated tag. A tag outside the vocabulary is a proposed new topic, unless wknd drops it (a place name from the item's address, a cadence word): it stays on the item, matches no list until it is approved, comes back in `unknown_topics`, and joins the topic review queue on /topics/review, where wknd's operator can add it to the vocabulary.
