Discovery Cube Orange County, Santa Ana, CADiscovery Cube opens early on the third Sunday of the month with background music off, a designated quiet space, sound-reducing headphones, visual cue cards and sensory-friendly maps. The mornings are built with the Thompson Autism and Neurodevelopmental Center at CHOC for kids who do better in a calmer museum.

Bowers Museum, John M. Lee Court and Key Courtyard, Santa Ana, CAFamilies watch ceramic artists demonstrate their craft, browse a marketplace of pottery, and make their own free clay artwork with a Bowers art instructor in the Key Courtyard.

Pretend City Children's Museum, Irvine, CALocal author Reese Golchin reads her picture book Pigtails and Pancakes in a short story time about kindness and friendship, followed by a book signing. Included in museum admission.
11am to 4pm, every Sunday
UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art, Costa Mesa, CAFamilies paint and create together in this drop-in art session inspired by poetry at the UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art. The museum calendar tags the session for families, and the five hour window makes it easy to drop in around naps.
