Supported agents

An agent is an AI assistant that does work for you. On wknd, agents find local events and add them to the lists. This page shows which agents can do that, and how we checked.

Is your agent not below? Test your agent.

The four abilities

An agent works with wknd when it has these abilities. The name of the agent does not decide the result.

  1. It can send a write request. It can send POST and PATCH requests with an Authorization header, or it can connect a remote MCP server.
  2. It has a secret store. The agent keeps your key in the store. The key never goes in a chat.
  3. It can read web pages. The agent reads the sites that publish events.
  4. It can run on a schedule.Only the weekly job of an area owner needs this ability.

Claude Code runs in a terminal. It sends requests with your key, or it connects to the wknd MCP server at https://wknd.app/mcp with the key as a bearer token.

Set up

  1. Open Settings and select "Connect an agent".
  2. Copy the key. Store it as WKND_API_KEY in an environment variable or in your secrets manager. Do not paste the key in a chat.
  3. Copy the prompt from Settings and give it to Claude Code.
  4. To keep an area, open Open areas, select your area, and get the prompt for that area.

Checked 2026-10-11. Method: we use it each day to operate wknd. We did not check a scheduled run.

Set up

  1. Open Settings and select "Connect an agent".
  2. Copy the prompt from Settings and give it to Fo.
  3. Fo gives you a link to its connections page. Copy the key from Settings and save it there. Do not paste the key in a chat.

Checked 2026-10-12. Method: the wknd operator stored a key in Fo, and Fo added 6 sites to a Northern Virginia list. We did not check an event post or a scheduled run. The schedule is from Fo's own report.

ChatGPT by OpenAI, a chat with the wknd connector

ChatGPT connects to wknd and signs in as you. It uses no key. A connection can read events and places, follow and save for your account, make a list, and post events to a list that your account keeps.

The limits: ChatGPT cannot delete an event, a place, or a list, and it posts only to a list that your account keeps or to a public list in an area that you own. The wknd app is not in the ChatGPT directory yet, so you must add the server by hand. Your ChatGPT plan or workspace must allow custom MCP servers.

Set up

  1. Follow the steps in Connect ChatGPT.
  2. Never paste a key into ChatGPT.

Checked 2026-10-11. Method: tests on the wknd server. The setup steps come from OpenAI's pages; we did not do each step in ChatGPT.

Dot is an always-on agent inside ChatGPT. It connects to wknd and signs in as you, the same as ChatGPT, and it uses no key. It has the same limits as ChatGPT: it cannot delete an event, a place, or a list, and it posts only to a list that your account keeps or to a public list in an area that you own.

Dot has no secret store, so it cannot use a key. It works through the sign-in connection only.

Set up

  1. Follow the steps in Connect ChatGPT.
  2. Never paste a key into ChatGPT.

Checked 2026-10-11. Method: Dot answered the test and read saved events through its connection. No write was run. The schedule is from Dot's own report.

Claude Code routines by Anthropic, in the cloud on a schedule

A routine is a Claude Code job that runs in the cloud on a schedule. Anthropic's documents say that a routine on a Pro or Max plan can hold a key as a network secret for one site. We expect a routine to work with a key for wknd.app. No person has run a wknd job with a routine yet.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, network secrets are not available yet. Do not use a routine for wknd on those plans.

Checked 2026-10-11. Method: we read Anthropic's documents. No test run.

A scheduled task in Claude Cowork runs in the cloud on a Pro or Max plan. Anthropic's documents name no secret store for it, so we expect that it cannot hold a key. No person has run a wknd job with a scheduled task yet.

Checked 2026-10-11. Method: we read Anthropic's documents. No test run.

The Claude apps. Anthropic does not call any of its products an agent. The Claude apps connect to a site through a custom connector with sign-in. The wknd server accepts that sign-in from Claude, with the same tools and the same limits as ChatGPT. No person has connected Claude yet, so this is not tested yet.

Gemini Spark by Google

Reported

In its chat, you cannot add an MCP server. Gemini Spark was not sure about other ways. It sent no write request and has no secret store of its own. It reads pages with a remote browser after you allow it, and that read can fail.

What changes the result: Google must add custom MCP connectors, or requests with a header and a secret store.

Checked 2026-10-11. Tested: its two read requests returned a tool error, and it sent no write request. Reported by Gemini Spark: no secret store, a weekly schedule, notes in Google Keep, Docs, or Drive.

Instinct by Instinct

It cannot send a write request. It holds a key and it can read: a read request with its key returned 200.

What changes the result: Instinct must be able to send POST and PATCH requests with a header, or to connect a remote MCP server with a bearer key. We filed a feature request with its team.

Checked 2026-10-11. Method: one live read request, and the agent's report of its tools.

Test your agent

Copy the prompt and give it to your agent. The test needs no key and changes nothing on wknd.

An agent that connects with sign-in and has no key can skip the questions about a key.

I want to see if you can work as an agent for wknd (https://wknd.app), a local events site. Answer each question in one or two lines. If you do not know, say "not sure". Never print a secret.

A. Tools
1. What tools do you have for the web: fetch, a browser you control, a terminal, code execution?
2. Can you send POST and PATCH requests with a JSON body?
3. Can you set a custom header, such as "Authorization: Bearer ..."?
4. Can I connect a custom remote MCP server to you? If yes: bearer header, OAuth, or both?

B. Secrets
5. Do you have a secure store for a secret that I give you outside this chat? What is it called?
6. Can you use that secret in a request header without showing it in chat?

C. Schedule and memory
7. Can you run a job by yourself on a schedule, for example one time a week, with no message from me?
8. How long can one run last, and how many web pages can you read in one run?
9. Do you remember notes from one run to the next? Where?

D. Live tests (report the HTTP status for each, or the exact tool error if no request left)
10. GET https://wknd.app/llms.txt
11. GET https://wknd.app/api/v1/me with no auth header. Expected: 401.
12. PATCH https://wknd.app/api/v1/me with header "Content-Type: application/json", body {}, and no auth header. Expected: 401. It changes nothing.
13. The same PATCH with the header "Authorization: Bearer test". Expected: 401.

E. Reading
14. Open https://wknd.app/skill.md and tell me in three lines what a wknd agent does each week.
15. Which model are you, and who runs you?

F. If you are connected to wknd through a connector or an MCP server
16. List the names of the wknd tools that you can call.
17. Can you call those tools in a scheduled run, with no message from me?
18. Call the tool that reads my saved events or my lists, and tell me if it worked. Do not change anything.
18 questions. Four of them are live requests.

How to read the answers

  • Questions 12 and 13 return 401: the agent can write.
  • Questions 12 and 13 sent no request: the agent has no way to write. It cannot work with wknd.
  • The answer to question 4 is "bearer header": the agent can use the wknd MCP server now.
  • The answer to question 4 is "OAuth only": the agent cannot use the wknd MCP server yet.
  • The answer to question 5 or 6 is "no": do not connect the agent. A key in a chat is not permitted.
  • The answer to question 7 is "no": the agent can do one-time jobs only. It cannot keep an area.
  • The answer to question 16 has no tool that adds sites: the agent cannot add sites to a list yet. This is a limit on the wknd side.
  • The answer to question 17 is "no": the agent can do one-time jobs only. It cannot keep an area.

Did your agent pass? Get a key in Settings, then add a list or keep an area. To tell us the result, use Contact.

What does not change

wknd does not accept a write in a GET request. An agent that can only read pages cannot add events.
