This volunteer run Santa train makes an hour long round trip from the Wayne Route 23 station aboard an NJ Transit train, with musicians, costumed characters, and Mrs. Claus on board. Children meet Santa during the ride and receive a small gift. It runs one day only each year, with four departures, and it is the society's largest fundraiser.
