Northwest Children's Theater and Portland's Indian-American community host a free Diwali Festival of Lights at The Judy Kafoury Center for Youth Arts, on Diwali itself. Families can add to a large community rangoli, make lanterns, learn a diya lamp dance, watch a live dance recital, and taste savory and sweet Indian treats as they explore room by room. Free entry; a donation of 10 dollars per family is suggested and RSVPs are strongly encouraged.
